Evaluation sheet for departing Fellows

  1. What would you consider to be the major benefits of your stay at IWM?
    • Meeting scholars from all over the world working on topics that interest me.
    • Sharing my own research with other scholars and social scientists and getting their valuable opinion.
    • Organising workshop on Statelessness with scholars from Europe and Asia.
    • Discussing scholarships of other social scientists in my own pace
  1. Was the event programme of the IWM attractive and interesting for you?

The events of IWM are very interesting. The particular event that I helped to organise was a workshop on statelessness. In this event more than 16 Universities and research centres were represented. The discussions were extremely diverse and creative. There were plans formulated about a Asia-Europe platform.
Other than that, I also spoke at a scholar’s colloquium on the emerging situation in Afghanistan.
I virtually participated in another event called Europe’s Futures. In each programme there were a lot of scope for discussions.

  1. Do you have any criticisms of any aspect of the Institute’s program and operations?
Please include any suggestions for improvement.

I do not have any criticisms.  The scholars and the staff went over the call of duty to help us in every way possible.  Here I want to mention three people in particular for all their help.  Katharina Graf, helped us diligently finding out sources for our research.  And she also helped me by getting resources from the Vienna University library.  The other two people were Franz Graf and Leonie Dworsky, who helped us from the moment we decided to come to our time to leave.  The management was excellent too.  Supportive, friendly and diligent in every possible way.

  1. Is there anything else you would like to let us know regarding your stay at the IWM?

If there is one lacunae that I faced was that the library should have much more resources on migration and on public health.  Other than that it is a wonderful place to come and work.
